I placed a small candle on the clear glass sphere and the light refracts beautifully through it at night. The brass rim feels substantial and adds a nice weight to the whole piece.

The polished brass base gives this little glass holder a much more elegant feel than I expected. I love how the light catches the clear glass when a single candle is placed inside.

I use it as a tiny vase for a single dried flower, and the clear glass lets the stem show through beautifully. The polished brass base gives it a surprising amount of weight for something so small.
