Skyddsängeln från Skultuna är tillskriven Carl-Einar Borgström som formgav den under 40-talet som en skyddande symbol under svåra tider. Carl-Einar Borgström (född i Ystad 1914 - 1981) var skulptör utbildad vid Kungliga Konstakademien i Stockholm, han formgav en lång rad produkter, främst för det nedlagda Ystad Metall.
